Dr. Atul N. Shah
Principal Allergist
Atul N. Shah, MD, FACAAI, FAAAAI – Board Certified Allergist & Asthma Specialist
Dr. Shah is a board certified allergist and asthma specialist who focuses on the early diagnosis and treatment of allergies, asthma, and related diseases. He has been awarded a dual fellowship by the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and by the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. His extensive training as an allergist and asthma specialist and his experience in managing adults and children of all ages has earned him a “he can help” reputation among community physicians and medical professionals. He has been
recognized with various awards including the America’s Top Physicians’ Award, the Patient’s
Choice Award and the Most Compassionate Physicians’ Award.
His medical career began in India, followed by an internship, a residency, and fellowships at
various institutions, including the College of Physicians & Surgeons at Columbia University;
Albert Einstein College of Medicine; Schneider Children’s Hospital; Harlem Hospital; and Long Island Jewish Medical Center. His commitment to cutting edge knowledge is evidenced by his ongoing participation in educational activities.
Dr. Shah founded the Center for Asthma & Allergy in the year 2000 with a personal mission of
“touching as many lives positively, in as many ways possible – everyday.” After more than 20
years as an allergist and asthma specialist, his patient base has grown from the local community to national and international patients. More than half of the new patients last year were referred by existing patients and more than 80% live outside of the Center’s zip code. He joined hands with our team with the inspired mission to reach many lives across the country and
co-founded AAMSUS and AADepot. He motivates our team to reach more and more lives everyday through our work. In 2015, he opened the New York Food Allergy & Wellness in Centereach, NY and became a new bench-mark making it the first Food Oral Immunotherapy (OIT) Center in New York State. He co-founded Global Food Therapy (GFT) in 2018 that now provides education and skills through weekend boot camps and through online courses to other allergists, pediatricians, internists and family physicians. Dr. Shah’s work and articles as an allergist have been published in peer reviewed professional journals, local newspapers, and weekly columns. He is a sought after guest expert on many local and national TV and radio media including the NBC, ABC, Channel 12 News. He has accepted invitations for speaking engagements at educational seminars and meetings. He is also an author and a publisher of a variety of educational materials including audios, videos and a series of books. The latest is an “AmazingAllergist’s Awesome Book Series for children.
Our AAMS and AADepot team continues to help more and more physicians and their practices
due to active involvement of Dr. Shah. He pushes us to advance the cutting edge science based
products and innovative approaches to help other practices.

Steve Tramontano, a co-founder of Allergy Associates, has more than twenty years of experience bringing the best in medical testing equipment, supplies and services. As CEO of Allergy Associates, Steve is committed to bringing the highest level of integrity to his clinics and physicians for all products and services that AAMS and AA Depot provide. As previous President of Advanced Nerve Conduction Studies, a provider of specialized neurological testing equipment and services to the medical industry, Steve has helped hundreds of practices generate revenue providing quality-based services to patients throughout the Northeast region.
Steve has a successful track record of utilizing current market trends, along with a need to generate higher revenues, to increase profits for health care providers that have been inundated with reimbursement cuts in the health care field. He is committed to helping clinicians offer quality and relevant services to their patients, with both in-office and at-home testing to expand their existing practices without expensive equipment or staffing concerns.

Troy joined Allergy Associates in pre-pandemic 2020, bringing with him a background in science and several years’ experience in the healthcare industry. He is a service-oriented professional with an entrepreneurial spirit, solution-oriented mindset, and dedication. Throughout his tenure in the medical field, he has demonstrated the ability to address both business and clinical needs of healthcare providers by engaging in meaningful dialogue to determine how their needs could be better met. He is devoted to fostering positive relationships and truly aims to do right by everyone.
Troy is an avid outdoors enthusiast and loves staying active, which he accomplishes with frequent bike rides around the city or off-road and keeping up with his adorable young daughter and rambunctious dog, Mija. When he is not out on the trail, fishing, or in the woods, he enjoys wood-working and other projects at home. Troy is always on the move, but always just a text, email, or phone call away if anyone is in need of assistance.
